A DTV Installations client contacted us because he wanted an exquisite new high-definition television installed in his sitting room, and two large screen HDTVs hung in his home’s basement. During our free, no-obligation consultation we presented several options which would add to the beauty and functionality of the project, and drew up a proposal which not only satisfied the client, but excited him – and we got to work.
For the sitting room, we supplied and installed a state-of-the-art 55-inch Seura high-definition mirror television. This amazing HDTV fits right into the room’s décor and appears to be a simple mirror when turned off; when turned on, it provides full-screen, 4K ultra-HD quality video.
We also supplied and installed Sonance IS4 100-watt in-wall invisible speakers on each side of the mirror TV, and a Marantz NR1604 7.1 channel surround sound A/V receiver to power the system. The HDTV and speaker wiring was run to the basement where the receiver and a URC MRX-10 Advanced Network Controller were located, the walls were all patched and painted so that the installation was truly “invisible,” and a URC TRC-10 remote control in the sitting room allowed the client to control the entire system in comfort.
It was then time to install the basement A/V components. We hung the client’s 55-inch LG and 50-inch Sharp HDTVs on the walls, along with a Sonos PLAYBAR soundbar for high-quality audio, and ran all cabling through the ceilings and walls for a clean, modern look.
We were able to provide deep equipment discounts for the client, since we are authorized dealers for most A/V brands, and he was even more excited by the final results than he was when we first designed the project.
