At DTV Installations, we love challenges. That’s what we faced when a client in Forest Hills, Queens called to ask about full-home wiring and installation of home theater, audio and WiFi systems – and we put together a comprehensive proposal to get the job done.
After receiving client approval, our first job was to wire the entire home for the video and audio portion of the project. We ran cabling to support surround sound for the home theater, all of the home’s televisions, and multiple music zones throughout the house.
Once the initial work was completed, we built, set up and programmed a basement rack with all of the supporting equipment required: Sonos Connect wireless amplifiers to handle all six audio zones, a Denon AVR-X3200W 7.2 channel 4K ultra-HD audio/video receiver with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, and an URC MRX-10 advanced central controller to handle all of the components in the network. The MRX-10 can be managed from any device, anywhere in the house. After connecting everything, we calibrated all of the speakers in the home to ensure optimal audio delivery in every room.
Finally, we upgraded the home’s networking system, installing whole-home WiFi with the use of Luxul XAP-1500 high-power dual-band wireless access points. These ensure complete connectivity and full WiFi speed throughout the house, even when moving between the areas covered by different access points.
