A modern restaurant and banquet facility needs advanced close-circuit TV monitoring and entertainment systems. DTV Installations was pleased to install both in less than a week for Passage Restaurant in Brooklyn, NY.
Passage now has 16 vandal-proof and waterproof CCTV cameras monitoring the entire property at all times, along with a high-end video projection system and retractable 144-inch screen for wedding presentations and party entertainment.
A beautiful, large restaurant and banquet facility which hosts many weddings and parties requires modern and versatile video systems throughout the property. That’s what Passage Restaurant in Brooklyn, NY needed – and DTV Installations was pleased to create them.

We did a free on-site inspection and presented the owners with a comprehensive plan for their entertainment and video surveillance systems. The price quote included large discounts on the necessary equipment, which we’re able to provide thanks to our standing as manufacturers’ representatives for most brands. Everything met with their approval and we got started.
The first step was creating a high-end closed-circuit television system for the protection of employees and guests everywhere on the property. We began by running new Cat6e network cabling to accommodate the system; we then supplied vandal-proof, waterproof Hikvision 3mm high definition cameras which have night vision and motion detection capabilities, and installed 16 of them through the property.

They were connected to a 16-channel Hikvision network video recorder and a 32-inch Samsung 32-inch display, so all video can be monitored in real-time and all 16 camera feeds can be recorded for later use or archiving. The complete installation provides incomparable security for the restaurant and its property.

Once that work was complete, we supplied and installed a state-of-the-art high-definition video projection system for the entertainment of Passage guests. It featured a BenQ MW820ST SmartEco 3D DLP video projector, which delivers a 1080p HD signal that automatically adjusts to available light with perfect color and clarity. At the “other end” we used a Vutec Lectric 144-inch motorized screen, which can be fully retracted when not in use. The video system is perfect for wedding presentations or party entertainment.

The installation required five days for two technicians to complete, and the discounted price tag was only around $13,000 for each of the two top-of-the-line systems, including all labor and equipment. Passage is now able to provide a secure, enjoyable experience for its guests, and we’re pleased we were able to be their partner on this project.
